I'm not sold on microchipping. As someone else said, you have to make sure they get to a vet or shelter with a scanner for it to work. Also, I read an article about these dog thieves that would remove microchips before they sold them. It would't be hard since the chip is quite small. I prefer tatooing. My dogs have permanent dog licenses with the number tatooed across their inner thigh. No one can remove that and it's obvious to any one who would turn them over. Just my opinion though. |
