Thank you all so much for your kind words. His heart surgery is scheduled for either April 27 or 28. That Monday we meet with the surgeon and then they will do all bloodwork and a radiograph to determine exactly how big his heart is and to better locate exactly where the PDA is. He should stay there for 1-2 nights post-op..
I know he won't live long without this surgery but it breaks MY heart to know he has to go through all of this.
One good thing: the breeder is refunding the full cost of Scooter towards the female that we will be getting soon. And if he doesn't make it through this she will also replace him for us (even though he is not replaceable in our heart). He is the best little man ever.
