I also meant to add:
I know that there are a lot of use that have Microchip and that is great. But I think that a dog with a collar & tag have a better chance of being returned faster than a chipped dog. With a chipped dog, you are hoping/relying that someone will take them to a vet/shelter and have them scanned. A dog with visible ID has better odds of being returned faster. Everyone has a cell phone nowadays. A call is much faster (and easier) than taking in a dog. to be scanned.

And as I pointed out in an ealier post, if your dog got out by accident and you weren't home, at least there is some visible ID. Burglars can break in, earthquakes can happen (I live in CA) and its nice to know they have ID on them. Visible ID that is!
