I usually leave Tucker in time out for 5-10 minutes or until he settles down. I put him in the x-pen and he'll jump and be rowdy and then we he calms is when I let him back out. So if she whines or bucks in the crate I'd wait until she calms down, otherwise I'd say 5-10 minutes is sufficient. Tucker gets time out for going under the couch
