Nope. if I were to get one I would just get one from a breeder in the US. There's at least 1o I believe. They will have to import a breeding pair theirself or get one from an importer of exotics. Since I live in Austin, Tx now, I don't need any permits or anything to own one. If I were to breed one (even if I gave them away and not sell), I would then have to get a city/county or state permit, and a USDA licence because they are still considered rare. If you breed one with getting the proper licence/permit then they will be confiscated from you and euthanized (not given to a shelter AT ALL!). In the process, all you have to do is sign the paper work with sending in the fees then a few weeks later they come and look at the location and check you paperwork. They also require you vet to check out you house and make you follow you vets suggestions.
Oh... and if you are USDA licence for breeding an exotic animal, they will make you licence breeding your breeding dog(s), too. Because your breeding more than a domestic animal....
