Dobies can be very loving dogs...as is with any dog, there are a couple bad apples...but for the most part they are very lovable dogs and have a really good temperament. These dogs crate very well..if your looking for a larger dog then take that into account, especially with having a smaller yorkie.
I believe if your going to get a larger dog then this would be one that you should definitely look into. Don't let others scare you, with "these dogs are scary agressors" they're not, they're just like every other dog...just be mindful and train them...labs are supposed to be wonderful dogs too but most of them weight 90 or above so they can hurt your yorkie too...just research a bunch of breeds and make the decision that's right for you!
