[QUOTE=oopsmyhalofello;1918224]I've been using the coins in a can method for quite some time now and it just is not effective with my girls. They aren't startled by it, they totally ignore it. I don't mind barking to a certain extent but these 2 are really bad. They bark when the big dogs are let out the back door, or in. They bark when we are open the interior garage door, which we have to do to put out recycles, garbage, soda cans or let the big dogs in if it is wet out. The door is used many many times a day. They bark when someone comes in the front door, even if it is each time you walk in with a new bag of groceries. They bark when they want your attention, they bark because you didn't give them enough attention. They bark when they hear my voice if they aren't with me at that moment. They bark when they hear me get up out of a chair. They get a ton of time with me and playing and roaming around so it isn't neglect LOL They are contained in an ex pen over night and occasionally during the day for their safety when need be. The barking is insane! Ok, so I really didn't have a point except to say I feel your pain

I did order the citronella collars and will see if they work out or not. I did the water bottle for a short time but had to stop because Bella had a splint on for quite some time that couldn't get wet. I don't like using that to much either because the floor gets really slippery when its wet and I don't want anyone getting hurt slipping.[/QUOTE
I can definately see the downfalls with the water bottle and scented collars. I will let you know how this works..Yours sound like mine.. they would just be fine if you sat with them all day..I am with mine mostly all day and the minute I put shoes on or grab my keys they lose their little minds.....
