Last May my husband gave me the go a head to contact the breeder about getting our boy. Jeter was not born till September 30 and It was a LONG wait for me to bring him home. I read every book I could order from my Library on Yorkies, and Puppy training. I also found YT in June so I read a bunch of threads on house training, food, toy's, health issues to watch for. I also got to shop for things for Jeter, I knew I wanted a boy so I was able to get boy stuff for him. My mother also got him bunch of things too, like his food dishes, a collar ( for his Tags) and leash she even got him a blue stroller because i live in the downtown area. I also called and interview all the Local vets in my area.I was surprised when a bunch of the vets that I talked to said they did not get to many people calling Before they had a puppy, so they were real impressed that I was taking the time before getting a dog to see what was all involved with the care they provide. also I was lucky to live by my breeder and she let me come see Jeter quite a few times before he came home. On the weeks that I did not get to see him, she sent me photo updates!
