Why do some people feel they must recoup the cost of a dog? A dog is a family member, our friend and companion. $500 for 12 to 15 years of love is a very low price...do you feel a need to recoup vet and food expenses over his life time?
AND..why do these threads cause such heated and harsh posts..because making money on the backs of our companions is one of the surest ways to cause a huge amount of suffering...we hate to see animals of any sort suffer at the hands of the "unenlightened"...you have no idea what type puppies your dog will produce and will have little say what happens to the future of the offspring over their lifetime, unless you keep them all....simply finding good homes from the outset, does not mean they will not land in a puppymillers hands at some point...or their offspring. |
