Im sorry that this is not working out for you. I'd definately try another bank or credit union even (they can be a little more lenient on things like that). With the recent fall of Bear Stearns most banks are tightening the purse strings no matter how the gov is trying to help by lowering the rates to encourage borrowing. Its a stinky market right now
