OOOps. One very important thing I forgot to mention.... when your pet gets a bee sting, if there are any stingers reamining on them...DO NOT grasp it with your fingers to get it out. There is a part that remains that contains MORE venom and if it is squeezed it will push more venom in. There are those that are naysayers to this and call it a myth. Not true.

Get something flat and thin and run it across the skin of the area that the stinger is attached to (a credit card, the paper part of a matchbook...something thin like that). This will remove the stinger without any danger of forcing more venom into the victim. Use cool compresses but no ice.
