It is an overload of the red genes. It may not affect all of the pups in the litter. Mine had 2 standard and 2 that weren't standard. I have seen other litters have some chocolate and some standards. Trust me, it came as quite a surprise! I am waiting to hear from AKC as to what color they will call my pups. I am really hoping they will accept the litter, there is no guarantee. Of course, there is no guarantee even if they are all standard color (that is what the Registration Form informs you of). And thank you for saying they are adorable. I am enjoying them sooooo much!
Wow thanks for explaining this to me. I'm learning so much from this site. I didn't know they could come out like this. Is this the equivalent of maybe a human albino? I have not seen a chocolate one. Does anyone have a picture? They are so different I like the red color.
