I just took as a clever play on words. I guess I've always thought of Ghandi more of a political figure than a religious . . . . .more like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln than Mother Teresa. I have been enlightened. (Is that in bad taste too?) I think you were right on the original spelling though, Gandhi.
