I need a big hug!
As most of you know hubby and I have been house hunting and found a house we fell in love with. The buyer accepted our offer and we thought we had the financing easily wrapped up. Our credit is great, good income, everything. Then they tell us we need $10,000 just sitting in our bank account. That is just darn near impossible for my family right now. I know the economy sucks but gosh! They are never going to get out of this crisis if they don't even loan qualified buyers money. Top it off the loan officer treated us like dirt. That's what is really bothering me. I've banked at this bank since I was 9 and had a savings account, I've never met such a bunch if snotty people in my life. Once we told him there was no way we could come up with that money in a month, he asked if we had relatives we could borrow it from. None of our family has that just waiting for someone to use. We simply stated nobody we knew had that kind of money right now. Hubby proceeded to tell him it just wasn't going to work and then as we were leaving he said, once you find your rich uncle you give me a call. My parents were amazed at how he handled it. Also, the loan officer smelt like ciggarette smoke so bad it about made you sick. I think I will be going down there to cancel my account tomorrow. There is just no need for that and I refuse to be treated like that. Okay I'm done venting, now I need my hugs. LOL
