I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm a little confused. I'll be adopting a 4 year old female in a month. She has not been spayed. By the time Maggie gets here, Franklin will be neutered so I'm not worried about accidents, but I won't be able to get Maggie spayed for about a couple of months (I need time to replenish my funds

What do I need to know about female heats? I've never had a female dog before so I am completely lost. Is it likely that she'll go into heat before I get her spayed? what do I need to do while she's in heat?
