leg It looks like an inverted knee cap...but these things are tricky at this age to determine 100%. Sometimes legs are momentarily curled, due to a bad position in the uterus, if so, they straighten by 8 weeks or sooner...other times it is a deformity in the bone or knee cap itself...if it is due to a bad position, it will straighten and stay straight as a rule...if it is a deformed knee cap, it will need splinting for a few weeks to a few months, depends on the degree... surgery is needed sometimes....I have seen breeders ignore this and the knee cap will literally bend the opposite way...my vet said these conditions are painful if not corrected. |
