I would have to agree your vet should be able to rig up something.My vet will not just put something down because of a deformity etc,it would have to be life threatening before he would put it to sleep.My vet is a farm vet also and will try it all before he gives up and will put something to sleep.
We raised minis for about 9 yrs and we had a colt once who had a deformity in his front legs because of how he layed in utero,vets came looked and they thought that was the deal with his legs ,and he did come out of it but it took almost a month for him to straighten up on them.He was only 18 inches tall but was a big boy body wise.
