We free feed also. When we knew Ruby was pregnant, I mixed dry puppy food and adult Canadae (which is supposed to be for "all" stages) and they all ate it. But when Coco was nursing those big boys I had to add all kinds of things (cottage cheese, wet puppy food, chicken, chicken broth) to get enough food into her.
Another YTer told me to put the dry puppy food into the blender, and not to moisten it for them. I just keep a bowl of this in their pen,and a bowl of water, and they seem to love it. Everyone is eating their own food again.
