I agree that we all have different views on what a responsible breeder is. But I would hope that we all can agree that petstore pups do not come from them. So even if this show gets across to not buy from them, I think thats great ! I think thats a huge key in putting many mills out of business. When I went to the MN airport one time, there were
at least 60 kennel of pups lined up waiting to get on a plane to be shipped to petstores all over the country. I went and looked at each kennel to see for myself and they all were just from 2 breeders and enery last one going to pet stores. This guy was unloading pups from his huge van and he gave me a dirty look because I must of had this horrific look on my face. I shot him a look back , like you SOB, but I didn't say anything cause I would have ended up going to jail after I was through.
I think it would be kind of a catch 22 for AKC to be on the show. Some mills are AKC. AS far as I know AKC does not have a limit of how many dogs you can own. Yes, your place has to be clean , and your paperwork in order, but you can still own 100 dogs as far as I know. Correct me if I am wrong.
