I thought i was the only one feeling this way. I have seen adoption fees on petfinder for toy breeds go from 45 to 600. Some were even 25 at the lowest but most of those were far away from where I live. I would look at the prices of 500 ad up and say wow I might as well buy from a breeder. People kept saying you should adopt but it is not that simple. Most rescues don't even email you back.
