I totally agree with you!
Here in Canada, the Canadian Yorkshire Terrier rescue group is located in Ontario, so unless you live there, forget about getting a rescue yorkie. Even if you could, it has to be to a home with no kids, fenced in yard, no smoking home, etc, etc. Then they want a fee of between $500-$1000. for the dogs to cover the vet bills! I continuously check the Humane Society and the SPCA and I have never in ,3 yrs, heard of a Yorkie or other small breed being in need of adoption.
