I didnt want to hijack a couple threads so wanted to post this on my own.

While I believe its a great thing to rescue a dog.
I rescued a beagle I still cant pet after almost 2 years.
He was beat and is deathly afraid of people.
While people need to learn about Puppy Mills and True BYBing operations
I can state for a fact...that there are few ,if any Yorkies, Maltese or ANY of these small mix types of dogs in *shelters or the pounds* here in Ohio
Pitbull and Lab , Shepherd, Chows and other large mixes ...yes...
Tons of large black dogs!!!!
Labs were the #1 favorite dog this year , and it was also the most euthanized dog.
They did a spot on the news here in Ohio about it just a month or so ago...

When others I know who have TRIED to rescue a small dog there are none.
The Rescues get them!!!!!!
Now rescues...yes there are some but my question is this
Why does it cost HUNDREDS sometimes to rescue a dog?!?!?!
I seen $$ in eyes here too...
Its one thing to get them from abusive owners and puppy mills etc.... and charge small amounts for spaying / medical care they've had.
But why are they getting them from the pound or shelters?
People are calling everyday about small dogs...there are none..Try it...
They did a spot on the news here in Ohio about it that too a couple years ago.

Its a huge thing to pay for a dog who may have all kinds of personality and/or health problems.(like Hound Dog)
People do it every day...Bless them but its not for everyone.

Its disheartening to read because some of us breed.
Be it the professional breeders or small hobby breeder.
Adopt...Adopt... Adopt....when some people just want their own healthy new puppy.
AS much as we would all love to save all the dogs...its not going to happen
And I dont think anyone should be made to feel bad for wanting that special puppy of there own.
And I dont think that being a caring hobby breeder should be put down on YT

And PETA?
PITA is what I call them...They dont even want me to eat my fish out of my own pond....Sorry for the rambling....LOL!
