I don't mean to be discouraging but some dogs just don't do toys. But, I read in the Ultimate Puppy guide that you can change that if you'd rather use toy rewards rather than food all the time.

From what I remember, it goes like this: you buy some squeaky fun toy and put it away in a drawer. Take it out a few times a day, with pup watching, and play with it yourself. (I know, this sounds silly ) Throw it up into the air, laugh and act like you're having a blast with it. Then put it away. The next step is to tie it to some string or yarn and drag it around, hopefully the pup is somewhat interested in it by now, but don't let her get it. Keep playing with it and keeping it just out of her reach, and in theory she will want it so bad by the time she finally gets it. At that point you can squeak, play fetch or tug and she should like playing with toys.

Good luck!
