I am so sorry your little Mango is going through this! I am sending prayers, that she will be better in no time. As far as the e-collar, I wouldn't push it. My oldest, a Bichon, went absolutely bonkers when I put an e-collar on him when he was neutered. I took it off right away and just watched him like a hawk and would not let him lick his stitches. If you are able to watch her 24/7, then you can catch her when she is trying to lick them. If not, maybe a onesie is your best alternative?
