I would definitely revist the vet via phone ($$), and find an alternative. As you know, her surgery is equivalent to a hysterectomy and no one has major surgery with preventative medication.

Make sure she doesn't become too frisky and try to nap when she does. Warmly, Deborah PS At least a human can say "oh, that hurts" or I don't like the place, Momma. That is the reason that I carry my pets into the vet's office. The drive over seems to set off the alert initially.
So funny you caught that "torch" bit. Usually I try to remember my "Yankee" phrases, and should have used the word "flashlight", but I forgot
I just checked the antibiotic label. It says "Clindamycin". I was also concerned about suspending the treatment; I worry about the potential for infection. However, after each dose she has thrown up intermittently for the rest of the day. Initially we thought it was the pain meds, but she has had none today. The Vet gave me anti-nausea drops which I gave to her this morning 20 mins before the antibiotic. She started vomiting again soon after, so obviously she cannot tolerate it. I am slightly encouraged because the amount of vomiting today is not as profuse as yesterday, when she was actually projectile vomiting.
I am watching her like a hawk and don't let her out of my sight for a moment.
Thanks for your concern, as always.
Lauren
