Default My 9 month old pees/poops on floor when he is mad!

I've been having problems with my 9 month old Yorkie (Sir Lancelot) getting him to be consistent on the wee wee pad. He came to us trained at 4 months, so 5 months of this inconsistency has been VERY frustrating. Then last week, i realized the pattern... if I can't play with him or give him attention (I work from home) or I run out to do errands... that is when he pees/poops on the floor or carpet! If he is happy and getting lots of attention from me, he goes on the pad every time!

Unfortunately I can't always interrupt my work and housework to play with him, and cleaning up pee while I'm on a conference call sucks!!!

I don't know what to do I've started putting him in the bathroom (with his wee wee pad, crate, toys and food/water) everytime he makes a mistake until he goes again on the wee wee pad. But I feel terrible because I dont' know if he knows why he is in there, and this is dragging on and on.

any ideas?

Thanks!!!
