i think she'll be okay... ask your vet about the type of anesthesia they're going to use. there's an anesthesia called Isoflurane that is a gas inhalant, not an injection. it's for high risk/small dogs. apparently, the dogs wake up easier when this is used. the vet should induce the dog first using ProPoFlo to put in an IV catheter for fluids (or meds if something goes wrong)... and then they'll keep her sleeping with the Isoflurane... i don't think i'd do it any other way.
Kash just turned 4 months on Saturday, but he's just over 2 lbs... my vet said she wants to wait until he's 3 lbs, but i don't want him to get much older before he's neutered because i don't want him to start getting those "urges." if he hasn't reached 3 lbs by 5 months old, then i think i'm going to have the surgery done anyway (using the Isoflurane).
also, i've heard that the longer you wait to spay/neuter, the more likely there might be complications...
