She had no temperature and the incision looks fine, not at all red or inflamed. I am keeping a careful watch on that. I have to be so vigilant because she absolutely hates the collar... treats it like clothes, which she will not wear EVER. I have managed so far to get her to sleep at night with a baby onesie. For the first time this morning, on top of everything she tried to lick her stiches for the first time, so I do not let her out of my sight. So a whole new question here - do you think I should persist with the collar? She becomes like a little bucking bronco when I put it on and I am nervous she will jeopardize the incision/stitches.
Whew!!! Who knew this would be so hard for her??!!
