Oh my gosh that is really horrible what happened to your mom.
And to think the owners of the dog were right there when it happened.
Bless her heart, I hope the dog doesn't have rabies so she won't have to get those shots. That's a lot of stitches and medicine. It sounds like she's getting really good care though. Tell your mom I wish her well.
On a lighter note, I have to say that was so....funny when you said about the ex-con sheriff who won't even step outside his home @ night.
Funny but very sad @ the same time.
