This is good advise. I don't know about the i/2 dose, but if you do decide to get the shot give it alone and stay AT LEAST 1/2 hour after so if he gets a reaction they can immediatly give epi and benadryl. I have read that it's usually the second shot that has the most potential for anaphlaxis but don't give it to my dogs so I don't know
