Hi, I'm so glad she came through the surgery good. I understand your concern about the food. When Trixie was spayed she spent the night and was given no food. I was terrified about this but she was ok. I kind of assume they gave her nutrical. Now when Pia was spayed she came home the same day and ended up very sick and spent almost 2 weeks going back and forth to a new vet and the ER to be watched over night. It's a long story and absolutely the vet's fault. Now after the nightmare I went through with Pia I refused to allow Paisley to spend the night. No'one would be there and I couldn't deal with that.

She came home that evening and never ate. My vet told me not to force food. I did give nutrical and the next few days she was sick and had no appetite. However, she was nothing like the way Pia was. I ended up giving her a little bit of baby food here and there but never alot. Her belly was so upset and too much would have caused her to vomit. I would ask your vet what they suggest you do. I hope she comes home and acts like my Trixie did. You never would have known Trixie had surgery. She wanted to play as soon as she got back. Hugs to you and Mango.
