What do y'all think? Have you fed them on the same day as the surgery? What is the usual rule of thumb here? I do not want to risk her vomiting, because Mango is a "vomiter" as it is. She is even prone to throwing up on a long car ride, which thankfully is not the case for today, as the vet is just up the road.

When Kiki was spayed last year, I remember the vet telling us to go easy with the food as they could still be very nauseous from the anesthesia. I put down a few pieces of dry food for her and she ate every one. I knew she was starving. So I probably gave her a quarter of the amount that she normally would eat and she was fine. The next day she ate her normal amount of food.
Prayers for a speedy recovery.
