I usually don't give Ellie "junk food" but I don't think it will hurt her occasionally (kind of like vanilla ice cream) and I'm comfortable with it. I guess we are all comfortable with different things.
As a rule though, she doesn't get salty snacks because too much salt is horrible for them.
