I really think they don't want to take the time to remove the tangles. With a good detangler and brush, those tangles do come out. Very sad that they shaved your pup. I take him to the groomers as little as possible, I trim pads, rear, ears. When I've taken Zander in, I leave written instructions as well as verbal .... and there is always something that they do NOT follow.
