Debbi I use the smaller needle on the newborns, never had to sub q a more mature pup although I do have the huge needle it just sits in med drawer. I am needle shy as well that huge one was given to me when Hannah was going down, I refused to use it, scared the begezzes out of me
I couldnt imagine injecting such a large thing into that poor little girl...I used a turkey baster to force feed hannah liquids and food instead.
