I don't remember specifically how it came about, but my sister was able to rehome her shepherd to the police. The dog wasn't a pup, she was a few years old. She was very protective, not necessarily agressive. She had a baby and the shepherd was very good with him. Her husband was stationed in Alaska and she couldn't take care of dog and newborn by herself so she rehomed. Might be worth a try, at least they may be able to suggest something. Good luck! |
