I had a horrific experience at Petco- they shaved Lexie BALD when she was only a few months old and in winter (we live in Ohio- brrrrr...) I was livid- I complained to the manager and got a refund (big whoop!) and they gave me a few sweaters for her. Now on the flip side... my friend highly recommended this groomer at PetSmart (yes- I was very skeptical- since I had such a bad experience) that was over 2 yrs ago and I have been going to her ever since! She does a GREAT job with Lexie and does EXACTLY what I want. It is VERY important to TALK- COMMUNICATE and let them know (especially a groomer that you are going to for the 1st time) exactly how you want your dog clipped. I also made it VERY clear under NO circumstances do I EVER want her shaved (and I shared my story) I have never had a bit of trouble and Lexie is always cut the way I want. There are some decent groomers at Petsmart. Good luck!!
