Gawd! im v sorry for your bad experience too. I cant imagine, but that mama bear instinct kicked in and I do know that feeling. Im having a terrible time with hawks, but theres nobody to fix that prob!
My hubby is a victim of a double pit attack! They are ruthless when they go, instinct in them is to KILL not just harm! So I would aim both barrels at that irresponsible pet owner and let it serve as notice to all the other "bad pet parents" that we can and will fight back for the sake of all the animals!Breaks my heart to see an animal suffer b/c their parents cant get their sh** together enuff to have a happy, safe, well balanced dog wether its large or small!
