My guess is they are asking that much because they can get it from someone who wants to buy her just to breed her. At 2 years old, she's old enough, and someone who's looking for a breeding dog would pay that for her--if she's not spayed.
I am in no way saying that it is right. I'm just giving my guess on why one that age is going for the price of a puppy.
