He just got out of surgery. It is way worse than they thought as the femur is totally shattered and pieces of bone went into the muscle. They couldn't put a steel rod into the bone inside his leg, so the steel rod is outside of his leg. He will have to be x-rayed every week to see how it is managing and in 3 months they will then cast the leg.

He's 10 and he broke it skateboarding.
