I would not neuter until you are SURE that the owners won't appear because that wouldn't be fair if they didn't want him to be.

Yes, that's what I was thinking too...I don't want to just up and cut his cajones off when he's really NOT my dog. He's been here now for almost a week; since last Thursday.
How long would you wait? I was thinking 2 weeks, but maybe that's not fair. I just know how much my dh is going to be pressing me about what I'm going to do.
It really hurts my heart to think someone might have dumped such a wonderful little guy to fend for himself
