With Rusty I rubbed and fed him cottage cheese, taped and had his ears shaved etc all in an attempt to make his ears stand erect. They never did. He has very large ears that are erect where he has cartilege and floppy at the tips where he has none. He can lay the ears down flat on his head at times. I have seen many Yorkies with one ear up and one ear down.
I secretly hoped his ears would not stand because I think Yorkies are cute with floppy ears! But I did try and it just didn't happen.
