The dip was for lice and I haven't seen any. Actually I never saw any alive, just the nits. The vet didn't see any live ones either, just dead. I just can't stand to see her scratch and scratch and whine. She does scratch around her ears, but it's purely because of the flaking. I have some tearless puppy shampoo and was thinking of buying a shampoo for dogs specifically to address the flaking. The vet said to wait 5-7 days before I shampoo her, but I don't know if I can wait that long. She's happy in every other way ... playing and chewing and growling, but scratch, scratch, scratch.
