The vet just "cut" our puppies tails and put 2 soluble stiches (X) in the tail.
I asked about "twisting" them off. She called it
crush and twist and said it was ok, but cut and stitched across pulls the hair up around the tail on all sides and scar is almost undetectable.
They allowed me to watch and it would be quite easy to do at home with just a few tools. But, not for me! I'll run them to the vet!
