my vet is the same way. i don't think it is because he doesn't know what he is doing. he just isn't good at commumicating. backward maybe the word for it. i just ask the questions and he answers. doesn't elaborate on anything. that is why i try to do as much research as i can about things i want to ask him. i really have no other to compare him to either. i like him and he is good to my babies which makes he hesitate taking them else where. i can tell he really is caring. and he doesn't hurry me even if the waiting room is full.
as far as the food is concerned (my thoughts) is as long as they can make money on it they will sell it.
