Not really or not enough. Money talks.

Peppers breeder didn't feel she was doing anything wrong either...and yet my beautiful boy is dead of an illness that made his life a living hell. Don't take this as a slam but...this is America and they are allowed to do as they want with their dogs too. Sadly, just because you can doesn't mean you should. My Pepper's illness was caused by bad breeding. I paid a lot of money for him so by your logic I should have gotten a very healthy dog. No I am not saying you are a bad breeder but I will tell you that his breeder says she isn't either. And my baby is dead. Some on here know my Pepper and what we went through for 3 years. They were with me while I held him as he was put to sleep. I know he had siblings who most likely have the same illness and if their owners are breeding them they are producing puppies with the same genes who will get sick like Pepper did. This is very personal for me because I still hurt over losing him on 6-27-07. I was NEVER going to get another dog because of it...then a good breeder who knew Pepper gave me my little girl. I would be lying to you if I said I don't worry about her getting sick even though I know her breeder and have seen her puppies grow and be healthy for 3 years.

Sorry for getting on the soapbox. All I ask, in Pepper's Name, is please think carefully before you do ANY breeding. Please get their health checked very very carefully. Talk to other breeders and find out all the things you should know to keep your dogs and their puppies safe and healthy.
