Well, I'm gonna tell you what happened to Penny. A week after she had her kennel cough vaccine. She started coughing at night(hairball kinda cough-dry cough) Mostly at night, rarely during the day,but sometimes. She has been nowhere but the vets. The night she got the vaccine the office was FULL. A few rescues were there. We sat with a few people and their dogs.(next to a lady and her new puppy. I wonder if her dog has it too?) Penny on my lap. Now, the shot takes 2 weeks to take effect. One week later she is coughing. Took her to the vets and ...KENNEL COUGH! Even the vet said she got it from their office. Because we took her nowhere else. Now, don't get me wrong I love and trust my vet. It is just something that happened. I couldn't avoid the office. She is now on antibiotics twice a day and the rest of her vaccines are on hold for 14 days at least. It was caught early and so far no other symptoms. Still eating and playing normal. Sorry this is so long but I got started and it almost became a rant!
