i live in Pa too and i always get my yorkies shaved down like that, for one working full time and being a mother, i don't have the time anymore to brush them like i use to. Believe me their hair will grow back beautiful. i think your yorkie looks nice, i just put sweaters on them when they go outside and there fine.
