After Ranger had a bout w/ the bloody diarrhea, and had to be on IVs for several days, my vet told me that the next time I see signs of diarrhea, to give him 5ccs of Pepto (he's 4lbs) every one to two hours (1-3 doses depending on the severity). Pepto has a SAFE anti-inflammatory as well as the the stomach settling properties and prevents the intestines from inflaming and hemoraging.

So far I have given it to him twice and he has only had one episode each time. We finally figured out it was his food, swaped it, and haven't had any more problems! Yay!!

This does not replace the need to go to the vet if it is severe. They get dehydrated SO FAST!!
