my dogs use to have a similar problem (not yorkies tho) and it was because we were feeding them in metal dishes as opposed to ceramic. when we switched their noses went back to normal... i dunno it was weird...... the vet had us switch dishes. this happened about 10 yrs ago and really havent thought about it since but hope it helps. i dont quite recall all of our circumstance though.
